The M|38 is the flagship of Maiora's new M Collection. The 37.1-metre (121 ft 9 in) yacht was unveiled at the Cannes Yachting Festival, and the first hull was shown on the water at the Monaco Yacht Show. Exterior design is by Quartostile, a studio known for its work in both yachts and cars; the interior was developed by Maiora's in-house design office with Acube Design. The collection also includes the 30.4-metre M|30.
Exterior
Maiora describes the profile as an interplay of acceleration and volume, with taut lines and sculpted surfaces that suggest movement even at anchor. A new full-beam bow and volumes pushed outwards change the proportions, giving her a steadier, more planted stance. Glazing, teak and strongly horizontal lines are the main ingredients of the exterior.
Aft: folding bulwarks and a covered pool
The stern is the most striking part of the project. The beach area sits on the main deck, on the same level as the cockpit and as a continuation of it. The side bulwarks fold down to widen the cockpit and turn the stern into a terrace over the water.
Aft there is a pool with a concealed, flush, walk-on cover. According to Maiora, the system allows the pool to stay full even when the yacht is under way. With the cover closed, the space can be used as open deck or as a fitted storage area.

Main deck and master suite
Saloon, cockpit and beach area are designed as one continuous space. Wide side windows and electrically operated sliding doors in smoked glass blur the line between inside and out, and because engine-room access is built into the corridor, the cockpit is left completely clear. The saloon measures around 51 m², with headroom of 2.25 to 2.35 metres, and the dining area has a table in Nero Belvedere marble.
Forward is a master suite of around 45 m² that spans the full 8.20-metre beam, with no side corridors. It has a study and dressing area facing the sea that can be closed off completely, a vanity, and a his-and-hers bathroom whose two compartments are linked by a 1.20-metre central shower.
Lower deck and crew
The lower deck has two VIP cabins and two guest cabins, for twelve guests in five cabins overall. The crew area includes a mess, en-suite cabins and generous technical spaces; it sleeps five as standard and seven with an optional extra cabin. A side garage takes a tender and a personal watercraft.
Sun deck and pilothouse
The upper deck is fully walkaround from stern to bow, leaving the outdoor areas free to be arranged as the owner wishes. The independent, panoramic pilothouse has 180-degree visibility forward and houses a second helm station, a bar and the access to the decks below without breaking up the living spaces.

Engines and performance
There are two engine options. According to the specification sheet, twin 2,200 hp MAN V12-2200s give a top speed of 23 knots and twin 2,600 hp MTU 16V2000 M96Ls give 28 knots; the yard's launch text, however, speaks of up to 30 knots with conventional propulsion. Range is 1,000 nautical miles at 10 knots. These are high speeds for a yacht of this size and volume, and the figures for your chosen engines are worth measuring on a sea trial.

Who is she for?
The M|38 is for buyers in the 35–40 metre range who want both volume and pace. The pool and folding bulwarks aft will appeal to those who spend most of the day at anchor and in the water, and a full-beam master with no side corridors puts the owner's privacy first. Twelve guests suits larger family and friends' groups. At this size, crew, berthing and maintenance planning belong in the same conversation as the purchase.
