The Itama 70 is a new 21.23-metre (69 ft 8 in) model from Itama, Ferretti Group's open-yacht brand. She made her world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival and went on to the Genoa International Boat Show. She is the second step in the renewal of Itama's range, and the first hull was launched at Ferretti Group's new production site in Ravenna.
The project comes from Ferretti Group's Strategic Product Committee and Group Engineering Department, with exteriors by Vallicelli Design and interiors by IdeaeItalia. The yard describes the result as a pared-back take on the brand's familiar lines, aimed at making life on board more comfortable without giving up Itama's sporting character.
Exterior and deck
Her signature is a run of linear hull windows along each side. They give the topsides a sweeping profile and create visual continuity between the interior and the horizon. Forward, the sunpad sits flush with the foredeck, so the deck line stays uninterrupted.
The sunpad is reached by a central walkway, separate from the companionway on the starboard side. The yard says the first hull carries a 3.25-metre tender.

Cockpit and helm
The cockpit is the heart of life on board, with the lounging and social areas laid out around the helm station. The extra-large cockpit has a U-shaped lounge and dining area with a teak table, plus a wet bar with a sink and fridge.
The helm is offset to port, with an ergonomic bench seat for two and twin 16-inch chartplotter displays. The skipper can therefore helm the boat without being cut off from guests in the cockpit.
Lower deck
The lower deck has three cabins, each with an en-suite bathroom. The master cabin is aft and has a single-level floor. The VIP is forward, and the third guest cabin has a queen bed. There are no steps between the cabins, so the whole lower deck is on one level. It also has a corner galley and a small dinette. An optional single crew cabin with its own bathroom can be added, and the yacht is rated for up to 16 people on board.
Engines and performance
The Itama 70 has twin MAN V12 engines. In standard form, two 1,400 hp units give a top speed of 37 knots and a cruising speed of 33. The optional pair of 1,550 hp MAN V12s raises those figures to 39 and 35 knots. With 4,100 litres of fuel, range at cruising speed is 290 nautical miles with the standard engines and 280 with the more powerful pair. The yard gives these performance figures as preliminary data.

Who is she for?
The Itama 70 is for buyers who want open-deck living and speed in the same boat. A cruising speed of 33 to 35 knots saves real time on short day passages. Range at cruising speed is 280 to 290 nautical miles, however, so fuel planning matters on longer routes. With three cabins and an optional single crew cabin, the layout suits owner-drivers or owners who run the boat with one skipper. The engine choice should follow the speeds you expect to use and the range you need, and the best way to decide is to compare figures from both configurations on a sea trial.
In brief
- Itama's new 21.23-metre open made her world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival, with exteriors by Vallicelli Design and interiors by IdeaeItalia.

- All three lower-deck cabins are en suite, the master is aft, and a crew cabin is optional.
- Twin MAN V12s give 37 or 39 knots flat out and a range of 280–290 nm at cruising speed.
