What has changed on the updated Ferretti Yachts 720

The updated Ferretti Yachts 720: the first Ferretti flybridge built in Ravenna, a sliding glass partition, a 41 m² flybridge and specifications.

The Ferretti Yachts 720 is not a clean-sheet design: the Italian builder has thoroughly reworked its 22.5 m (73 ft 10 in) flybridge. The updated boat made her world premiere on the Ferretti Group stand at boot Düsseldorf, then went on to the Cannes Yachting Festival and the Genoa International Boat Show. She is the first flybridge to be built at Ferretti Group's Ravenna yard.

The foundations of the previous generation remain. The changes are concentrated in three areas: the exterior lines, the main-deck layout and the cabins.

Exterior

The exterior was entrusted to the architect Filippo Salvetti, who redrew the profile and the bulwark line. The windows in the saloon and master cabin are larger, opening up a wider view of the sea from inside. A new hardtop gives the flybridge more shade. When the three-panel glass door between cockpit and saloon is opened, inside and outside become one space.

A sliding glass partition on the main deck

The interior is by IdeaeItalia. The most noticeable change on the main deck is a sliding glass door that separates the dining and seating area from the galley and helm. Closed, it turns the saloon into a quieter, semi-enclosed room; open, the deck works as a single volume again. The helm has a pillarless windscreen, Poltrona Frau pilot seats and up to four 16-inch displays.

Guest cabins and crew quarters

Below deck are four guest cabins: a master and a VIP, each with its own bathroom, and two twins sharing a bathroom. The master gains a dressing room behind a sliding door, a vanity table and extra wardrobe space.

The two-berth crew cabin has its own bathroom and a laundry area, and is reached directly from the cockpit, so the crew can work without passing through guest areas. On a yacht of this size that detail shapes the daily routine: cleaning, service and preparation for mooring all happen away from where the guests are sitting.

Flybridge

The upper deck measures 41 m². The dining area has a large sofa and an extendable teak table. The dining area and storage module have been reorganised, and a second helm seat is available as an option. The two-tone hardtop can be specified with opening louvres or fixed glazing; with the louvres, you decide how much sun or shade the upper deck gets as the weather changes.

Who should consider her

The 720 is for buyers looking for a four-cabin flybridge of around 22 metres, with crew quarters kept entirely apart from the guest areas. The sliding glass partition is a practical answer for owners who cruise with crew and want privacy in the saloon. Choosing between the two MAN options means weighing your speed expectations against how you plan to use the boat: the V12 is 4 knots faster than the V8 at both maximum and cruising speed.
