The Saetta 128 is a new 39.8-metre (130 ft 7 in) model in Saetta, the range that brings together Custom Line's planing yachts. The first yacht has been launched at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona, and the yard says three units were sold ahead of delivery. Alongside the 128, the Saetta range includes the 140' and the 106'. A three-deck planing yacht, she stays under the 300 GT threshold.
The project is the work of the Product Strategy Department led by Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department. Exterior styling is by SY Design (Matteo Sassone and Veronica Yien) and interior architecture by ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, with Custom Line Atelier advising on the interior development.
Exterior and main deck
The yard describes the Saetta 128 in terms of sleek, sporty lines, generous terraces and seamless flow between inside and out. The main deck opens aft onto a 33 m² cockpit, which leads into a 40 m² main saloon that includes the dining area.

Upper deck, bow and sun deck
The upper deck is the defining feature of the design. Here, on the same level as the wheelhouse, is an enclosed sky lounge of about 20 m² that opens onto an aft terrace of 40 m² in total, giving the yacht a second enclosed lounge in addition to the main saloon.
Forward, a 25 m² bow area has a U-shaped sofa and a sunbathing zone, and can be specified as a wellness area with a whirlpool. At the top, the 30 m² sun deck is given over to loungers and relaxing in the open air.
Interior and cabins
The master suite is forward, where full-height windows bring in natural light. According to the yard's project announcement, the 37 m² suite has a central bed, a dressing area aft and two bathrooms linked by an extra-large shower. Four further cabins are on the lower deck: three VIPs and one guest cabin. She sleeps ten guests, or eleven with a Pullman berth, and there are four cabins for six crew, including the captain.
The ‘Perfect Mood’ scheme prepared for the first yacht pairs chocolate and mocha tones with walnut and maple, white marbles such as Sivec and ivory wallpaper. The ‘Classic Mood’ alternative uses oak, linear-patterned wallpapers and warm contemporary finishes.

Engines, stabilisation and the stern
Power comes from twin 2,638 hp MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines on shaft lines. On the yard's preliminary figures, she reaches 22 knots flat out and cruises at 19, with a range of 1,000 nautical miles at an economical 11 knots. Trim interceptors and stabiliser fins reduce roll, and gyro stabilisers can be fitted on request. With an SCR system that cuts NOx emissions by 70 per cent, she can meet IMO Tier III.
Aft on the lower deck, a multipurpose area takes two craft, such as a Williams DieselJet 565 and a jet ski, and can be extended with a swim platform at the water's edge.

Who is she for?
The Saetta 128 is for buyers who want speed rather than the range of a displacement hull on a yacht of close to 40 metres. A 19-knot cruise makes it easy to move between anchorages and fit more into each day's itinerary in the Mediterranean. The upper-deck sky lounge and 40 m² terrace, on top of the main saloon, give owners who cruise with larger parties two separate social spaces. Staying under 300 GT is also worth weighing up separately when planning registration and crewing. A range of 1,000 nautical miles at 11 knots means fuel planning should be settled before longer passages.
