The Oasis 36M is a new 35.6-metre (116 ft 10 in) addition to Benetti's Oasis family, unveiled at the Cannes Yachting Festival. Exterior design and concept are by the British studio RWD, and the interior architecture is by Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture. She has a GRP hull and sleeps ten guests in five cabins, with seven crew in four.

The defining Oasis feature is the Oasis Deck®, which opens the stern to the sea. On the 36M it has been redesigned and grown to 82 m². The garage has moved forward, leaving the whole stern to guests, and the hull carries a new bow bulb developed by the yard's R&D department.

The Oasis Deck and aft deck

The Oasis Deck® runs ten metres from the transom to the main saloon entrance and works as a single, continuous living space. At its centre is a 5.5 m² pool, and an optional sliding cover closes it over to add deck space. The side wings set into the bulwarks have been enlarged, and when they fold down, the platform extends out over the water.

The garage now sits further forward. Benetti says this simplifies tender operations and leaves the entire aft section free for outdoor leisure.

Main saloon and master suite

The main saloon offers up to 40 m² of interior space. Aft, a semicircular panoramic seating area opens straight onto the Oasis Deck. Forward are the dining area and an enlarged galley and pantry. Two facing full-height windows, each 3.20 metres long, line the saloon.

The master suite measures 31.3 m². The bed sits in the middle of the room and faces forward for an uninterrupted view over the bow, with glazing and built-in storage along the sides. A desk or vanity can be added by the window. The en-suite bathroom runs the full beam and has separate areas for two.

Upper deck and sun deck

On the upper deck, the 34 m² skylounge combines the comfort of a media lounge with panoramic glazing. Directly aft is a 37 m² terrace that can be set up for dining in the open air or for lounging. The sun deck is more than 13 metres long and covers 65 m², with room for relaxing, informal meals and entertaining throughout the day.

Hull, efficiency and range

The hull has a fully submerged bulbous bow, designed for vertical-bow hulls. Benetti expects it to cut hydrodynamic resistance by at least 10 per cent at 10 knots. At cruising speed, fuel consumption stays below 30 litres per hour per engine. With 25,000 litres of fuel on board, range is 2,500 nautical miles at 10 knots.

Black- and grey-water tanks hold 5,000 litres, which allows longer stays at anchor before returning to a marina. Benetti's model page does not give the engine make, power output or top speed, so buyers should request these from the yard in writing at the proposal stage.

Who is she for?

The Oasis 36M is designed for buyers who spend most of their time at anchor and want to live close to the water. The pool on the Oasis Deck, the forward garage and the 5,000 litres of black- and grey-water capacity all point the same way: long stays in a bay. A range of 2,500 nautical miles at 10 knots matters to owners who plan long passages or a change of cruising ground between seasons. She runs with a crew of seven, so crew costs, berthing and a maintenance plan should be weighed alongside the purchase. Benetti has not yet published engine or speed figures, so any performance comparison will have to wait for the yard's technical specification.
